COMMUNITY INVESTMENT PROJECT (CIP)
The Government of Jamaica has secured a loan from the Caribbean Development Bank
(CDB) in the amount of US$15M to assist in the implementation of the Community
Investment Project (CIP).This project aims to improve infrastructure in
education, health and transportation in poor rural communities throughout
One component of the Community Investment Project is the Bridge Jamaica Programme,
which consists of a series of social interventions that target families living
below the poverty line; assisting them to mobilize themselves in order to gain
greater access to social amenities.
