The Ministry of Agriculture's mission is to advance the development of a modern, efficient and internationally competitive agricultural sector. They also aim for the sustainable management of our land, mineral and aquatic resources to promote food security, land tenure, and contribute to rural development and the overall well-being of our people.
The Ministry of Agriculture and JSIF do not have a signed institutional agreement at this time. They however, collaborate in programmes so that the intended outcomes are achieved. Technical assistance regarding specific projects is also received by the JSIF from the Ministry. In addition, a no objection has to be received from the Ministry for the work to be done.
Under the Hurricane Dean Emergency Recovery Loan Agreement a Memorandum of Understanding will be signed between the JSIF and the Ministry of Agriculture for the implementation of activities to be funded by this Loan Agreement.
