JSIF investing $49m to restore Brown's Hall Primary

The Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) is investing $49 million through the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) funded Basic Needs Trust Fund, to rehabilitate Brown's Hall Primary School in St. Catherine.    
Ground was broken Tuesday morning for the rehabilitation of the 80-year-old institution, which serves 350 students.   
The school is in dire need of being modernized and refurbished, in order to meet the standards of the Ministry of Education and better serve the community.    
The work is to be completed by February 2017.
