space and outlet for community-based services and activities.
These types of hard investments have been accompanied with
the strengthening of the capacity of community groups, such
as Citizens Associations and Parent Teachers Associations
along with the establishment and training of maintenance
committees.
In more recent years, JSIF has sought to invest in the capacity
of communities and beneficiaries to learn, earn and grow
their way in whatever sphere of life they choose to build their
families, communities and country. The focus has been on
skills training, certification, enterprise building, adding value
to farmers’ primary outputs, improving access to markets,
entrepreneurship and other opportunities.

JSIF works in underserved communities, in conjunction with

information systems, or human resources must all be aligned

Our work demands an adherence to established procedures,
codes and standards., So great is our commitment to standards
that in 2008, JSIF embarked on the journey to becoming
certified to one of the most advanced standards for any
business system, with our environmental management system
becoming certified to the ISO 14001 standard.
