2008
The Inner-city Basic Services Project Mentoring Programme
was under the collaborative implementation of JSIF and Youth
Opportunities Unlimited (YOU). It was aimed at providing
mentors for 180 children from inner-city communities in
Kingston and St Catherine.
With aid from the World Bank, JSIF also implemented the
rehabilitation of basic schools, roads and health centres after
they were damaged by Hurricane Dean in the previous year.
